Ghost · from the Reel
Ghost: set your phone location anywhere
Ghost is a free, open-source app for Mac and Windows. Plug in your iPhone or Android, pick a spot on the map, and your phone is there. It can even drive down real roads. No jailbreak, no root, no account.

Everything is in the GitHub repo: the download, the setup guide and the fixes. Start there.
Six steps
Set it up in five minutes
-
Download Ghost from the GitHub release. Mac with an Apple chip: the mac-arm64 .dmg. Intel Mac: the mac-x64 .dmg. Windows: the win-x64 .exe. Nothing else to install.
-
Open it. Mac: drag Ghost into Applications; if macOS blocks it, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway. Windows: if SmartScreen pops up, click More info → Run anyway.
-
Turn on developer mode on your phone. iPhone: Settings → Privacy & Security → Developer Mode. Android: tap Build number seven times, then switch on USB debugging.
-
Plug the phone in with a data cable, unlock it and tap Trust (iPhone) or Allow (Android). In Ghost, pick your phone, click Prepare if it asks, and wait for Ready.
-
Pick a spot: search a place or tap the map, then click Set location. Want a drive? Add up to 12 pins, click Plan road route, then Start route.
-
Done? Click Restore real location before you unplug. Unplugging does not reset it.
